Alex Fong
Delicate and expressive, Alex Fong’s watercolours present an impressionistic view of nature filled with movement, colour, and whimsy. Working in a style he calls “Contemporary Oriental,” he blends soft pastels with deeper tones to capture landscapes, florals, birds, and wildlife. His paintings often feature small accents of colour he calls “confetti,” adding energy and intrigue. Born in Vancouver in 1956, Fong discovered watercolour while studying interior design and continues to explore its freedom, texture, and expressive possibilities.
