The Sacred Cycle explores the powerful and enduring relationship between the bear and the salmon. Woven into the land and water, these two cultural symbols reflect a bond shaped by nourishment, renewal and mutual dependence.
 
The returning salmon sustain the bear, while the bear carries nutrients from the water back to the land, supporting the forests and the many lives within them. Through flowing patterns, vivid colour and interconnected forms, Laura Graves portrays this relationship as part of a greater natural balance—one built upon reciprocity, respect and the continuous cycle of life.
