In The Forest in Between, William Jones invites viewers into a liminal realm—a place suspended between waking and dreaming, where time softens and the boundaries between reality and imagination gently dissolve. Along a winding stream bordered by wildflowers, mushrooms, and stands of paper birch, an unseen village of the little folk reveals itself, creating a landscape filled with wonder, mystery, and quiet possibility.
This enchanted forest is a place of refuge and reflection. Here, there are no demands, schedules, or expectations. The forest asks only that visitors arrive with an open heart, move gently through the landscape, and perhaps leave behind a story, a memory, or a piece of themselves. Crow glides overhead while Danu journeys along the riverbank, acting as guides through a world where nature, myth, and spirit exist in perfect balance.
Inspired by the fleeting moments between consciousness and sleep, Jones creates a setting that feels both familiar and otherworldly.
