The Tally Whacker
Original Acrylic on Canvas
by Jordan Perkins
Bold, unapologetic, and overflowing with attitude, The Tally Whacker is Jordan Perkins' spirited tribute to one of the barnyard's most charismatic characters. Bursting with colour, texture, and personality, this unforgettable rooster refuses to be ignored, commanding the canvas with confidence and more than a little swagger.
Every inch of the painting radiates energy. Thick, expressive palette knife strokes build extraordinary texture throughout the brilliant crimson comb and wattles, while rich golds, fiery reds, vibrant purples, and flashes of turquoise collide in a dazzling explosion of colour. The rooster's piercing amber eye locks onto the viewer with fearless confidence, capturing the proud, defiant spirit that has made this iconic bird a symbol of courage, resilience, and the arrival of a new day.
Jordan masterfully balances realism with bold contemporary expression, allowing the heavy textures and spontaneous splashes of paint to create movement and excitement. The result is a painting that feels alive—full of sound, motion, and unmistakable personality. Whether appreciated for its humour, its remarkable craftsmanship, or its striking visual impact, The Tally Whacker is a work that naturally becomes the centre of attention.
Measuring 36" x 36", this original acrylic painting is perfectly suited for contemporary homes, country estates, restaurants, wineries, executive offices, or anywhere a vibrant statement piece is desired. It is artwork that brings character, conversation, and a smile to every room it inhabits.
