Metamorphosis

Original Oil over Mixed Media
by Christine Cloutier

Metamorphosis is an original oil over mixed media painting by Christine Cloutier that beautifully captures the extraordinary moment of transformation as a butterfly emerges from its chrysalis. Rich with symbolism and radiant colour, the work celebrates the courage to embrace change, reminding us that our greatest growth often comes through seasons of waiting, surrender, and renewal. The luminous butterfly, poised between what was and what will become, speaks to the hope and freedom found in new beginnings.

Inspired by a vision received during prayer, this deeply personal piece reflects Christine's own artistic and spiritual journey. What began with the simple act of picking up a paintbrush in 2008 evolved into a flourishing creative career, further refined through her studies in the prestigious Milan Art Master Program. Metamorphosis is both a celebration of that journey and an invitation for viewers to reflect on their own paths of transformation, resilience, and purpose.
