Equal Parts of the Earth explores the inseparable relationship between humanity and the natural world. At its centre, the four-part medicine wheel honours the life-sustaining forces of the physical environment: the rocks and soil beneath us, the wind and air surrounding us, the waters that cleanse and sustain life, and the warmth of the sun alongside the energy held within the Earth.
 
Flowing water, rugged mountains, living forests and an expansive sky are woven together in a richly layered landscape. Through its interconnected imagery, the painting reminds us that human beings do not stand apart from the Earth—we belong within it as equal and connected participants.
