Winter's Glow

By Roberta Farrelly
Acrylic on Canvas

Bathed in the warm light of a setting sun, Winter's Glow captures a breathtaking moment where the stillness of winter meets the brilliance of nature's daily masterpiece. Acclaimed Peachland artist and instructor Roberta Farrelly masterfully contrasts the cool blues and whites of the snow-covered landscape with the fiery oranges, golds, and crimson hues reflected in the flowing stream, creating a scene that is both peaceful and dramatic.

Towering evergreens stand silhouetted against a vibrant evening sky, while the winding waterway carries the last light of day through the heart of the composition.

The interplay of light and shadow transforms the winter landscape into a celebration of colour, reminding viewers that even in the coldest season, warmth and beauty can be found.

Known for her ability to capture the emotional essence of the Canadian landscape, Roberta Farrelly combines technical excellence with a deep appreciation for nature. Her expressive brushwork and attention to atmosphere invite viewers to pause, reflect, and experience the quiet serenity of a winter evening in the wilderness.

Rich in colour, movement, and natural beauty, Winter's Glow is a captivating tribute to the Canadian landscape and the enduring wonder of the changing seasons. It brings warmth, tranquility, and a sense of connection to the outdoors into any collection or living space.
